CLOVER

Clover is a KuneKune mix, the first pig to join our family and the very special girl who inspired Clover’s Pig Preserve. Caring for her motivated us to learn everything we could about proper pig care and ultimately helped lead us to the rescue and advocacy work we do today. As the “top hog” of her herd, Clover is confident, spunky and wonderfully sassy. She has a mind of her own and is sassy but that is all part of what makes her so lovable. As our original pig and namesake, Clover will always be the heart and unofficial mascot of the preserve.
CHLOE

Chloe is a KuneKune mix who joined our family alongside Clover and has been winning people over ever since. She is one of the friendliest pigs at the preserve and absolutely loves spending time with people. Chloe is always happy to roll over for a belly rub and is known for giving the sweetest snout kisses. Her affectionate, outgoing personality makes her an instant favorite with nearly everyone she meets.
CLEMENTINE

Clementine is a KuneKune mix and sister to Clover and Chloe. She joined our family shortly after her sisters, bringing the trio back together. Clementine is a little more reserved, but once she feels comfortable, her wonderfully goofy personality begins to shine. She can be adorably clumsy and has a gentle charm all her own. Her quiet sweetness makes earning her trust especially rewarding.
PEANUT

Peanut is a KuneKune mix who shares the same family lines as Clover, Chloe and Clementine. Short, round and irresistibly cuddly, she has many of the classic features people love about KuneKune pigs in a smaller package. Peanut is exceptionally sweet and loves nothing more than settling into a trusted person’s lap for a snuggle. Her gentle, affectionate nature makes her happiest when she is close to the people she loves, and it is nearly impossible to spend time with Peanut without falling completely in love with her.
LULU

Lulu is a Potbelly mix whose mother was rescued while pregnant with 11 piglets in New York. After spending more than a year waiting for a home, Lulu and her sister Snow were the last two siblings from their litter still at the rescue. Once we learned their story, we traveled to New York so they could join our sanctuary together. Lulu is the more outgoing of the pair and is always ready to enjoy a good belly rub. Her sweet personality and growing confidence make her a joy to know.
SNOW

Snow is a Potbelly mix whose mother was rescued while pregnant with 11 piglets in New York. Snow was born much smaller than her siblings and with leg deformities that required physical therapy. With care and determination, she grew into a happy adult who lives a full, normal life, even if she still walks with a slight limp. Snow spent more than a year waiting for a home and was one of the final two siblings remaining when we learned her story. We traveled to New York to welcome Snow and her sister Lulu to the preserve together. Snow is timid and selective about who she allows close, but beneath that caution is a quiet, gentle soul.
PACHA

Pacha is a Potbelly mix who came to Clover’s Pig Preserve in 2020 at six years old. He had spent his life as a beloved indoor companion, but when his owner encountered difficult circumstances, she made the loving decision to find him a safe place where he could receive lifelong care. With the help of incredible friends, Pacha traveled all the way from South Carolina to Connecticut. He is famously the grumpiest resident at the preserve and prefers having a space of his own, but even Pacha has a soft spot for a good belly rub.
ARLO

Arlo is a small Potbelly who came to us through a fellow rescue. He had been found in a backyard with two other pigs, living beneath a tarp with only a hollowed-out tube television for shelter. A humane officer helped bring the pigs to safety, and Arlo eventually made his way to Clover’s Pig Preserve. His small stature is likely the result of growth being stunted by neglect earlier in life. Arlo originally came to us as a possible companion for Pacha and now happily shares his home with Chester and Pumba.
CHESTER

Chester is a Potbelly mix whose life changed dramatically after a local post warned that he needed a new home or would be sent to slaughter. When Chester arrived, he was severely overweight and could barely walk. With patience, appropriate nutrition and rehabilitation, he lost more than 100 pounds and rediscovered the freedom to move comfortably. Chester cannot see because excess skin from his previous weight folds over his eyes, but he has adapted beautifully and confidently navigates his surroundings. He is one of the sweetest pigs imaginable and wants nothing more than to be loved.
PUMBA

Pumba is a KuneKune mix rescued with four other pigs during a local neglect case. Because he was not yet neutered, he needed to be separated from the others, so Pumba came to Clover’s Pig Preserve while the remaining pigs entered foster care. We arranged his veterinary care and neuter, then gave him the time and space he needed to begin feeling safe. His difficult past and limited early contact with people left him extremely timid, but he continues to make progress at his own pace. Today, Pumba shares his home with Arlo and Chester and is learning that life can be gentle.
MISS KAY

Miss Kay is a Potbelly mix we first met when her family asked us to assist with her severely overgrown hooves following a difficult previous trimming experience. We visited with our farrier to help make her more comfortable, and during that visit, her family asked whether we could provide her with a permanent home as her mobility and care needs had become difficult to manage. Since joining the preserve, Kay has lost weight and gets around much more comfortably. She has unique feet: she is mule-footed in the front and has fused hooves in the back. Because of this, she receives more frequent hoof care to support her mobility. Kay is an exceptionally sweet pig and enjoys life alongside Pacha’s neighboring enclosure.
FINNEY

Finney is a gentle, well-mannered potbelly mixed pig whose journey began when he was found wandering as a stray in Pennsylvania. After time in foster care, he was welcomed into a loving home where he received his name. When circumstances beyond his family’s control meant they could no longer care for him, Finney came to Clover’s Pig Preserve. He quickly won us over with his kind nature and love of snacks and affection. Today, he shares his home with Arlo, Chester and Pumba.
